toggle navigation home services contact welcome to russells dry cleaning established in 1973, we provide specialist dry cleaning in the cotswold market town of nailsworth. russells dry cleaning will be opening tomorrow, friday 21st of december at 09.00 54 weeks after the horrible fire. thank you all for your patience and support over that time. if you need things back before christmas get it into us tomorrow and we'll do our very best to sort that for you. there may be a few minor teething problems but we'll sort those out in short shrift. great to be back, the shop looks fabulous, still a few things to do but they're cosmetic. see you soon! hello to all our customers, past and future. 14th november 2018 it's been too long since we last shared any progress with you, between february and november the rebuild carried on uninterrupted, there was little to report. the plan back then was to open by october but as the project neared completion complications arose and that date had to be moved and continues to move on a daily basis! our plan was to welcome you through our doors during the 'nailsworth noel' celebrations on the 30th of november, to show you around the new shop and to share a glass of something fizzy with you, and a bite to eat too. but that may be too ambitious at this stage. things are changing on a daily basis and we will endeavour to keep you informed on any developments. hopefully we'll see you before christmas!' hello to all our customers 16th february 2018 hello to all our patient and understanding customers, you’re very much appreciated by everyone here and we look forward to a brilliant future serving the nailsworth community with the finest dry cleaning and laundry in the land! we were hoping to present you with an alternative dry cleaning service. we have looked far and wide for someone we can use to provide you with a quality service but no one has come up to scratch! the plan is a temporary sabbatical for russells. our shop will be rebuilt with all new equipment and ready to serve you again in september this year. in the meantime we do have a few items still to pick up from the old tattoo parlour at 15 fountain street, nailsworth. our time there is limited to another 2 weeks. we have called all the customers concerned but some have not managed to make the pick up yet. we will be shutting there on saturday march 3rd. you can still contact us using the usual number. just leave a message and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can. have a great summer, see you in the autumn 22nd january 2018 good news to all my wonderful and very patient customers; from 13.00 on wednesday 24th january you will be able to collect your clothing from 15 the old crown building, market street, nailsworth, stroud, gl6 0bx. (the old tattoo parlour.) we will be opening limited hours, monday to friday from 10.00 until 16.00. this will be collection only, please don't bring in any items to process, we don't have the facilities to provide that service. looking further into the future the damaged building will be repaired and reoccupied by october at the earliest. we hope to be back up and running and provided you all with the dry cleaning and laundry services you've come to appreciate over the last 23 years! if you need any further details we can keep you up to date here or come in and see us at the temporary shop. thanks from helen, liz and rupert 2nd january 2018 happy new year to all our customers. we are all on standby at russells, waiting for the insurance company to authorise the claim so we can get your items back to you without further delay. we have organised a temporary shop in town, the old tattoo parlour on fountain street, where you’ll be able to collect from. we’ll let you know when that is happening. again, thank you for your patience, understanding and sympathy, it’s very much appreciated. 19 december 2017 all the items that were removed from the shop last week are now heading off to be treated and made good for collection. we are confident that most items will be returned to you in good condition. the only issue we are currently facing is finding an appropriate space to set up a collection point. space is hard to find this time of year, no retailers are willing to give up theirs. we may have to wait until the new year. as soon as we've established a 'shop' we'll let you know on this site where to find us. thank you for your continued patience and understanding at this difficult time. 13 december 2017 all items have now been removed from the shop and are with the restoration specialists based on the industrial estate behind our shop. they will be analysed and assessed and appropriate treatment will be applied. this process will not be completed until after christmas. as soon as we know when your garments and other items are collectable i’ll be organising a space in nailsworth for you to pick up your items. thank you for your patience and understanding at this difficult time. we hope to have your belongings back to you as soon as possible. 5 december 2017 as you may have gathered, if you've tried to drop off or pick up your dry cleaning and laundry, there has been a terrible fire in the 2 stories above the shop in nailsworth. the fire didn't reach the ground floor where our business is situated but all the water that was needed to extinguish the blaze in the roof has flooded the shop. we have been stopped from gaining access to the shop due to suspected structural damage to the upper floors. the front gable end, over our front door, is threatening to fall!
